Star style: Gwen Stefani

Throughout her long career, Gwen Stefani has played around with plenty of fashion trends and has managed to forge her own style in the form of bright red lipstick, platinum blonde hair and monochrome outfits.

Her instantly recognisable uniform of white vest top and baggy boyfriend trousers has stood her in good stead as a fashion icon to be reckoned with over the years, but now it seems the No Doubt singer is reinventing herself once again.

She was spotted in New York this week looking chic and groomed in a tailored leopard print suit with a matching top underneath the fitted jacket. Her hair was slicked down into a sharp side parting and her ever-present red lipstick pulled the glam look together.

Gwen accessorised the sleek attire with black high heels, 1950s-style catlike sunglasses and gold rings on her fingers.

It was a far cry from the outfit she wore to perform with the rest of her band at the Teen Choice Awards earlier this month, for which she donned a simple black sleeveless top, black and white patterned leggings and some knee-length black bovver boots, finished off with chunky monochrome bangles on each wrist.
