When she burst onto our TV screens as a fresh-faced 16-year-old with her dreams of winning the X Factor, Cher Lloyd was touted as a brand new talent who would go places.

And it seems the reality show's judges weren't wrong as the singer is now planning to crack America.

Stepping out earlier this week in a hot outfit, the Swagger Jagger songstress met some of her fans at a shopping mall in New York.

She wore a sleeveless white blouse with some geometric print hotpants, teamed with white sneakers and plenty of jewellery as she performed her new single Want U Back.

One of her many necklaces consisted of a chain with a pair of scissors hanging off it, while another featured a pink skull attached to a large pendant.

A chunky bracelet accessorised the teenage musician's wrist and had the same pink skull motif as her necklace.

In her short career, Cher's style has evolved a lot. She started out with a ghetto fabulous look, storming the stage in her X Factor audition in a pair of ripped skinny jeans tucked into a pair of women's military boots and topped off with a cropped black jacket.

To steal the star's style, play around with a mixture of floaty feminine and tough, spiked pieces. Team some floral hotpants with studded ankle boots and work that rock chick look!
